BellamyBellamy Young, born Amy Maria Young on 19 February, 1970, [1]) was an American actor, producer, and performer best famous for her performance as Melody "Mellie", Grant the character in ABC's drama Scandal (2012)-2018. She received this year's Critics' choice Television award as the top supporting actress on a drama series. She starred in the 2019 season in the role of Prodigal Son on Fox. Young started her career as an actor through theatre. She made her Broadway debut on Broadway in the year 1997, playing Mary in The Life's first lineup. The actress has appeared Off-Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's musical Merrily We Roll Along (1994) as well as Randy Newman's Faust (1995-1996). Her TV debut was as"Dr. Courtney Evans in 1995 on the NBC's Another World soap opera. Between 1997 and 1998,, she played two guest roles in the show Law & Order. Her film debut was in 1999 as an important role in the"Black and White," a crime drama. She later starred in other independent films. Beginning in 2000, she began appearing in guest-starring in a variety of comedy and drama shows on television, such as The Drew Carey Show, The X Files, ER, Frasier, The West Wing, NCIS, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Two and a Half Men, Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, and Castle. Young was a part of more than thirty TV programs from 2000 and 2011.
